The 2nd Artie Cup International Space Design Competition, jointly organized by China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou), Guangdong Outdoor Furniture Industry Association, hosted by Artie Garden, and co-organized by MO Parametric Design Lab, started as scheduled on January 4th, 2023.
By February 26th, the contest had received 449 valid entries from more than 100 design companies and freelance designers from more than 200 universities. From February 27th to March 5th, after strict selection by the judging panel, 40 shortlisted entries have been evaluated.
On March 11th, the final selection of the 2nd Artie Cup International Space Design Competition was officially launched. Authoritative academic experts and industry celebrities were specially invited to form a jury panel, and first, second, third, and excellent prizes in total 11 design works were selected from the 40 finalists.
This award ceremony will also be held on March 19th at CIFF (Guangzhou) Global Garden Lifestyle Festival. At that time, the final winners of the contest will be announced and awarded, so let’s look forward to it.
At the invitation of Guangzhou Silian, the final evaluation meeting of this competition was co-organized in its brand space in Nansha, Guangzhou.
Guangzhou Silian is committed to connecting people and brands in space with art as the medium. Focusing on original design and quality innovation, actively exploring diversified space aesthetics coincides with the founding concept of this competition.
After intensive discussion and academic collision by a professional jury all day, the meeting came to an end, and the list of winning works will be released soon. The judges and experts also fully affirmed the entries in this competition. They said that the overall quality of the entries in this competition is higher than that in the last year, and there has been a great leap in both the creativity of the scheme and the forward-looking concept. Some of the works have provided many creative and valuable solutions to enhance people’s happiness in life, and highly extended the theme of the competition “Redefining Home”.

- About Artie Cup -
The Artie Cup International Space Design Competition aims at encouraging people to pay attention to and redefine “Home”. Through the form of competition, innovative, scientific, forward-looking, and practical design schemes will give “HOME” more possibilities for expression and experiment, praise the creativity of current architects and designers in design creation, and focus on space design to jointly serve the creation of sustainable, healthy and beautiful living life.
After two rounds of rigorous evaluation by the judges, the winning works will be officially announced and presented at the on-site award ceremony of the Global Garden Lifestyle Festival on March 19th.
- Notification -
In accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, all participants are deemed to have made the following irrevocable declaration on the the copyright ownership of the submitted works:
1. Participants must ensure the originality and authenticity of their works and must not embezzle or borrow others’ works. Once discovered, the participants will be disqualified in the competition and the Sponsor has the right to recover the award sent. The legal consequences arising from infringing on the rights and interests of any individual (or any collective ) shall be borne by the participant himself;
2. Submission of the work means the participant agrees to authorize the sponsor with the right to use their work, and to display, publish and promote them in public;
3. Participants should provide real and valid personal information when registering. The Sponsor will not examine the authenticity of the identity of the participant and will not disclose the information. However, if the personal information is inaccurate or incorrect, the works submitted will not be reviewed;
4. The Sponsor does not charge any registration fee or review fee to the participants;
5. Participants should ensure that they have read and agreed to abide by the above competition rules. Sponsor reserves the right to revoke the competition qualifications for those who violate the rules;
6. The final interpretation of the competition belongs to the Sponsor.
