Table Top Materials

  • White BBSW013 (Ceramic Glass)

    White BBSW013 (Ceramic Glass)

Artie glass table tops are tempered glass, which is heat treated so that if it were to break, it would shatter into thousands of tiny cube shaped fragments that would not pose risk of serious injury.  Glass is impervious to moisture, and therefore is almost completely stain resistant.

  • German Teak Color (Synthetic Wood)

    German Teak Color (Synthetic Wood)

Artie’s plastic wood is made of a proprietary blend of Polystyrene (PS), including recyclable plastic such as foam cups and tableware.  It contain no cellulose-based fibers, which makes it a perfect material for outdoor furniture.

Range of temperature: -16.6 to 158 Fahrenheit (Results from compressive and flexuralstrength testing with SGS approval)

UV Inhibition: four years of exposure to sunlight (Xenon arc 300 W UV simulator for448 Hours)

  • White W010Y (Sintered Stone)

    White W010Y (Sintered Stone)

Artie sintered stone is made of inorganic clay, silica and feldspar powder after fine grinding and pressurized firing at a temperature of 1200°C.  The sintered stone has extremely stable physical and chemical properties, which gives the table top scratch resistance, durability, and weather resistance.

  • Light Grey #0427 (HPL)

    Light Grey #0427 (HPL)

HPL(High-pressure Laminate) is produced by saturating multiple layers of kraft paper with phenolic resin.  A layer of printed décor paper is placed on top of the kraft paper before pressing.  The resulting sandwich is fused together under heat and pressure (more than 1,000 PSI).  Because phenolic and melamine resins are thermoset plastics, the curing  process transforms the resin into plastic by a cross linking process that converts the paper sheets into a single, rigid laminated sheet.  Thermosetting creates strong, irreversible bonds that contribute to its durability.
